There is no requirement that your post-sport income has to come from coaching or fitness. Your athletic background can support many paths, but income appears when your experience is translated into something an employer, client, customer or market values.
Employment
A targeted job search can convert athletic assets into a salary. Choose roles where your strengths matter, learn the language of the industry, and show evidence of the abilities underneath your sports experience.
Business and freelancing
You may be able to solve a specific problem as a consultant, service provider, creator or business owner. Start small enough to test demand before investing heavily.
Athlete-based opportunities
Coaching, speaking, content, brand work, clinics, events and sport-adjacent services can keep your athletic background directly relevant. The strongest opportunities still require a clear audience and outcome.
Education and skill leverage
Sometimes the smartest income move is adding one targeted skill or credential to your existing asset base. Choose education because it unlocks a path you have deliberately selected—not because you do not know what else to do.
A simple next move
Do not try to solve your entire future today. Write down the strongest assets A built in you, choose one direction worth testing, and decide on one action that creates new information. A conversation, application, project, offer, course or meeting can move B out of your head and into the real world.
The AB Plan is built around one idea: A wasn't wasted. A built you. Now put it to work.
